PREME releases “Infinite Ammunition: The Mixtape Album” BY TBTENTGROUP

BY TBTENTGROUP ON JULY 21, 2012 IN AUDIO, HIP HOP NEWS, MIXTAPES

By The Hip Hop Writer
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Diplomat Records has become one of the biggest names in hip hop over the past few years, with each member having a crew of their own. Freekey Zekey’s 730 Dips is among the more popular branches of the label. DJ Prince is the head of his 730 Dips DJs and the lable has a strong roster of talent.

In Virginia, the 730 Dips have a strong following and PREME is responsible for much of this buzz. PREME has made quite the name for himself in his native Virginia and he is also beginning to gain national attention. Being a member of the 730 Dips has helped him with this growth.

Last week, PREME continued his journey to hip hop stardom with the release of his eight-track project, Infinite Ammunition: The Mixtape Album. Though the project is only eight songs deep, it plays out much like an album. PREME only featured a few artists, among them Killa Watts.

Cam'ron Talks About Dipset Album and Vado

''Everybody's Doing A Lot of Different Things''

Contributor : Martin James
A Rocky Williform Company

Cam'ron spoke about the long-delayed Dipset reunion album in a recent interview with Jenny Boom Boom. There hasn't been many details about the joint project, but Cam says it's coming.

It's just taking a little longer than expected.

"We're working but everybody's doing a lot of different things," he shared. "It's not coming as fast as people may want it because every body's still got a lot going on in their own privates lives ... but it's coming."

He also downplayed rumors of a feud between he and rapper Vado.

"We're always gonna work together no matter what," he noted. "He had to create his own identity. I fell back for awhile so he could get his shine."

[OFFICIAL VIDEO] I AM STRUGGLE by LORD KAOS ft. QUEEN ROYALTY LONGTIME RECORDS IMG/UNIVERSAL @LORDKAOS11

Born in Harlem, NY, but currently living in Buffalo, Lord Kaos is a different type of artist than what most of us are use to hearing about. Instead of exploiting the negatives that come with growing up in the hood, Lord Kaos uses those same struggles to help uplift a community. With his first single "I Am Struggle" recently dropping, the fans can at least be satisfied until his full length album drops. The single "I Am Struggle" is something that everyone can relate to and it's basically saying that no matter what you go through, you are still special and you can make it.

Bourne Fiore Review on Illa Ghee & Dom Dirtee Album @ILLAGHEE2K @Domdirtee

There are some individuals you just want to listen to.  We don't want to hear em because they are the hardest or because they are the most commercial appealing.  We want to hear them, because we know when its time to put our middle fingers up in the air, they are there to give us that push.  Now even if we all cant just go and punch our nine to five boss in the face; its comforting knowing longtime Mobb Deep affiliate Illa Ghee (& in my opinion the best grunge producer since Alchemist), along with Dom Dirtee have arrived to help reset the tone.
The new Album Angel-Dust & Waffles is that gutsy risk taking operatic chest pounding sound; most of us are guilty of doing as kids.  Although this project lacks any motivation for our inner childish angst to reappear, it does however shed light once again into the former Mobb Deep affiliate's ability to resurrect that good old fashion head nod.
Today's jungle has evolved from the hardships we are forced to deal with daily. Dom Dirtee & Illa Ghee remind us of this with  "Take That Money""Man down you get too close you get shot, those scared or not moving correct will get knocked, I dont care who you are, you're nothing to my glock". I don't care who you are you're nothing Expressive lyricism originating from actions that struggles can evoke in a person, alongside danger, lurking melodic piano keys over a perfectly executed boom baap bass drum pattern. This is exactly if you are looking to just knock your head making a sour face.  People, don't act like you don't know that look.  Honestly you remember it like you just took a walk with a few of your peoples, stopped to cop a dutch, some Teenies (aka) Hugs drinks & a two handfuls of sour patch hard candies along with whatever other 10 cent candies were available at you local bodega spot.
Second helping of food for thought is "Never Had Easy".  Anyone that's done prison time, grew up without any role models or supporting mentor-ship, or who has been afflicted by drug addiction, will be able to relate to this song. Dom Dirtee takes us for a journey balancing his entrancing sound by a hook of what listeners may interpret as Illa really showcasing his humanity. Painfully and calmer the his usual self Illa's voice delivers "You don't never wanna be me Sh!t I don't really wanna be me, I aint never had it easy, all I want to do is feed me" Truthfully their is nothing commercial about this album, but if you are like me and love & appreciate music with essence & realism this album has just that. My opinion the is no marked missed or challenged its just a hard hitting EP/Album that brings a particular nostalgia.
Sadly, you will most likely not hear any of this particular projects offerings on the predominant mainstream radio circuit, but dont fret you can download it http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/angeldust-waffles/id502885796 for very little money & when you get the chance after you check the Video Takin Over which is also another dope cut off of Angel Dust & Waffles, go holla on twitter at Illa & Dom they are both humble cats. 1st here is that new video.

Gully Davis "Brooklyn Hip Hop Poet" Posted by @shanequagarcia @GullyDavis

Gully Davis, a poetic Ghost Writer out of Brooklyn,NY..Gully has worked with countless artists and also along side Bad Boy Entertainment. Throughout his career of writing, Gully has decided he wants his lyrical skills to be heard behind the Mic. Check him out, he has brought the real definition of Hip Hop back..

Q
.Tell the world about yourself, who you are, where you're from, what influenced you?

Yeah whats going on world this Gully Davis reppin the home of brooklyn east new york,i would have have to say my brother comedian Rasheed Thurmond influenced me alot, his drive, hard work and determination to change the game, made me really want to chase this dream and make it a reality, not alot of people where im from make it out of the hood.true talk.

Q.How did you get the name 'Gully"?

I got the name from the older dudes in the street ,when growing up I stayed in fresh sneakers and clothes,if it was hot as a youngin in my era I had it,I could saay before new era was big in the hood I was already doing it,until a dude I know said "You're always gully everytime I see you" and since then the name stuck

Q.What was the first track that you ever recorded? And when was it recorded?

I recorded when I was young, around 11 years old, but at that time I wasn't taking it serious, but my first official track had to be doing my job with my team blockhuggaz and from there it was a wrap,I believe that was like 03- 04

Q.The track 'Brothers Keeper",tell the readers what influenced you to write that track.

Growing up me and my older brother was very close he treated me more like a son than a little brother,so when he started doing comedy, I think his first on tv show was B.E.T. comic view.I saw how the people reacted to him being on screen, I said I wanted that,so through the years we used to motivate eachother, like who's gonna make it to the top first, then he passed away in 2007,and it was alot. I wanted to tell him, but by then it was too late,so step by step in that song I explain what happen down to the last time i partied with him, that song is deep has alot of meaning and all facts of that day.

Q. Do you have an upcoming mixtape/EP in the works?

Right now I'm working on my mixtape "Stakes Are High",and still working with alot of DJ's from Italy,France,Germany, and the U.S. and I'm gonna try and reach out to Japan one more time

Q. What are your goals and plans as a Hip Hop artist?

My goal is to take it to the top,I'm tryna bring a platinum plaque back to East New York,I'm gonna change the game

Q. Besides recording great Hip Hop tracks, is there anything else in the industry that you are working on?

Besides recording, I like to ghostwrite.. To me i'ts fun because I get that oppurtunity to be someone else for a day and really get a chance to do something different

Q. Any shoutouts that you would like to send? Also tell the people how they can follow your music(links),book you for events,etc..

First I would like to give a Rest In Peace shoutout to my brother, comedian Rasheed Thurmond,Hpnotic 718 my producer,Platinum Plaque, grammy nominated songwriter Asiah Lewis,my Block Huggaz family,New Yitty, enough respect for Relly(B.E.T. 106 & park "Freestyle Friday" champ),Dj Prince 730 Dipset,DJ Kingflow,DJ Plk,Mixtape Bully,DJ Piombo and every other Rapper/DJ doing their thing in East New York or anywhere else in Brooklyn or the world....Holla at me on Twitter @gullydavis,Facebook/gullydavis or FB fanpage GullyDavisBK, Reverbnation, Soundcloud, and management trufammanagement@gmail.com, or just google me lol
